Creative Community Brainstorming...

A big thanks to everyone who came along on the 18th of March, to the Community Information & Brainstorming Sessions that were held at the Community Health Centre in Campbell Town! We thrashed around ideas about making art that reflects peoples' experiences & memories of the Campbell Town Show. We talked about photo documentation using mobile phone photo sharing apps, traditional photography and photos booths. We mused about felting and painting and working with tactile art materials. We shared stories and memories of what it was like going to 'The Show' and talked about collecting memorabilia from past Shows... Imagine if we could collect a ticket from every Campbell Town Show since in first began 175 years ago.... now that would be cool! Start collecting!!

'Campbell Town on Show' is a Tasmanian Community Art Project...

Any member of the Campbell Town District Community is invited to become involved by sharing their experiences and memories of the Campbell Town Show in a creative way, such as through story telling, poetry, painting, felting, patchworking, sculpting, collaging, drawing, photographing, recording videoing (your imagination is the limit!)...You may like to make and individual contribution or collaborate with a group of others.
